Great slogan for a bummer sticker or t-shirt
It’s a play on words from another popular used acronym
But what is the story behind the message?
THE STORY:
The day I lost my talent: I was 16-years-old when I got my work permit. I remember my dad taking me to open up my 1st bank account. As a teenager getting my first job was a sign of becoming independent and it meant I was on the right path for my future; so I thought.
My first job was in Customer Service at a fast-food restaurant. I never realized this would also be the day “I lost my talent.” As many years past, I became aware that my first job dictated my talent and skills in the job market. I couldn’t get any jobs outside of Customer Service because I had no previous work experience. I was currently stuck in this forever ending circle in the job market and I was unhappy.
A few years into my college studies a friend of mine mentioned an internship she was applying to and I took a chance and submitted my application and was selected. This one opportunity changed my life. Even though I had no previous work experience in this field other than from my college studies, I took a chance and got me a mentor, which gave me hands on experience. I found out that I have a passion for research, analytics and leadership development.
